Steven's first presentation, took Delegates through to morning tea and covered an indepth look at the Serviceability of Garments and the problems drycleaners can face with them during cleaning. Steve pointed out that under law, a garment and all its attachments, e.g . trim, buttons etc. should stand up to the recommended cleaning process for the life of the garment, and if it fails, it may not be the fault of the cleaner. “I think we were all amazed by the number of problems with garments that are not our fault. Attendees commented that if the customer can be forewarned at the counter about possible problems before the garment is accepted for cleaning, then a lot of problems can be avoided.” Linda said.
