DDIIAA NNSSWW AAGGMM 22000088 The Annual Report having been previously circulated, it was moved and seconded by Anwar Mangal and Russell Waddy and adopted as a true and correct record. Financial Report Executive Officer Philip Johns said on the positive side the bank balance is sitting somewhere between $50K and $60K. On the downside the Financial Year saw a loss of $10,000. Normally 20 - 25 Members took up early May memberships, but during the 2007/2008 financial year fewer took that option, so income was short an anticipated $3 - $4,000. Also, some slow payers were dragging the chain on payments for the the ‘Yellow Pages group listing’. Philip Johns said DIA NSW sort of broke even for the year. They didn’t conduct as many events as they would have liked. However, Members will get a full Calendar of 2009 events early in the year which should improve that situation. Moved: Peter Smith, seconded John Colgan: Presidents Report: Tony Kaye was unable to be pre- sent but had commented to the National Council the previous month, said he found Membership in general to be apathetic, insular, not going to meetings or talking to each other. His report was to be circulated later, by the EO. Election of Officers As an industrially registered body, the DIA NSW is a trade union of employers and must elect officers annually in accordance with those Rules.
