During August I was delighted to participate in the opening of a new Lawrence Dry Cleaners drive thru plant in Parramatta, NSW. It was a pleasure to see so many of the industry there to support Anwar Mangal and his family and staff, and I reflected that in an industry that is widely regarded as con- tracting, what a statement of confidence in their business and their future this formal recognition signified. On Monday, August 3, Local Member for Parramatta, Julie Owens MP, officially launched the premium service to the community, and her admiration for the new Lawrence Dry Cleaners Drive-Thru plant was clear to see. Ms Owens is a pollie who puts her money where her mouth is. Her stylish clothes are made locally in Parramatta. You can bet with that sort of investment in her wardrobe, she really relies on her drycleaner. Bringing an environmentally conscious dry cleaning solution to the Parramatta area, Lawrence Dry Cleaner’s GreenEarth service aims to minimise any negative environmental impacts from its day to day operations.
