The National : DRYCLEANER JANFEB2017
12 THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL DRYCLEANER & LAUNDERER JANUARY FEBRUARY 2017 itself, a very gentle wash. Ian doesn’t believe in bagging garments of this nature as he says the sequins are more likely to snag each other and pull lace fabrics. The FAGOR Touch Plus Control is a real workhorse, and with “Mighty Trev” Chemicals, Kreussler makes light work of the biggest Monday morning. Drying Three SpeedQueen electric dryer handles the bulk of the work. A large Dexter Gas dryer means they can dry loads after the boiler has been turned off. This configuration means they always have the ability to dry, regardless of supply. Forenta Pants and Unipress topper. A Unipress hothead press for flatwork handles all of the output for motels and restaurants. Everyone who presses has their own fan at their station. Evaporative Cooling in a room. The fans are also positioned so they blow the hot air out of the plant. The plant has lots of natural light throughout. At the press, spray water is as close as a pull down trigger. This saves time if you compare it to finding a bottle every time you want to spray, and filling empty bottles. Even the weight of spray bottles can be uncomfortable for staff of smaller stature. Cooling vents at each work station and natural light from sky lights are an every day benefit to the workers in the plant. Vicki Barnes, (Vicki2) pressing trousers. Ian, pressing napkins for one of their hospitality customers.
